Big Dream Coming True

Hello Friends and Family,
I can't believe it has taken me over a year to resurrect my Blog. I guess you can tell how ignored my diary was as a teenager. I only really wrote in there when my heart was breaking over some boy or if I had great news.
So this post is about great news. I am planning a trip to volunteer in Africa! Friday, I am going to send my grant application in to an organization called America's Unofficial Ambassadors (AUA) to see if I can qualify for a grant. I have put the link to the volunteer organization that I am using in the title of this post if you want to click on it. It is called Cross-Cultural Solutions.
Anyway, it has always been a dream of mine to go to Africa. I will be in the country of Morocco. Morocco is on the opposite side of the Mediterranean Sea from France. It is a French speaking country so it will be a great opportunity for me to brush up on my language skills. It has been quite some time since I have had a conversation with someone in French.
I am also blogging again because it is a requirement of the grant to share my experience through a blog and Facebook sharing pictures and stories of my trip. I am excited to have something that will hold me a accountable to do this if I get the grant.
So say prayers for me that if God wants me to go on this trip to Africa that I will get the grant! If not, I will just have to plan my trip for next year when I can afford it.
Love to you all,
Sara
