Half Marathon

I ran the whole time in the half marathon without stopping once. I can tell you that I actually considered stopping to walk for awhile and then all of the sudden out of no where I saw Hunter. He was smiling and taking my picture. I thought...I can't stop running now. Not when he is here out of bed in the morning (and believe me that is saying something) cheering me on. So I finished the 13.1 miles making a time of just under 2 hours and 15 minutes. My goal was 2 hours and 30 minutes so I was pretty happy. Thanks Hunter for being there for me!

Half Marathon in Kiawah Island

Here are the pictures from the half marathon. I did it! I couldn't have done it without the help and training done with Jenny. She kept motivating me along the way. Two other half marathon friends that encouraged me is my friend Noel at work and my friend Jill who is getting married to our friend John Tompkins. With out my friends to run with, this half marathon would have been a goal that may have never been achieved. Thank you to everyone who gave me their words of encouragement. I have to give all of the glory to God though. When times got tough, I just thought of Matthew 11:30. "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light".
I saw a man who had fallen on the side of the road at mile 11 or 12 and he was receiving CPR from another runner. Later, I found out that he died for 5 minutes. The ambulance had gotten there just in time with an AED kit and was able bring him back. I prayed for him the rest of the run. When I returned to work today someone in the office knew him through a friend. She told me that he had a heart condition he didn't know about and received a pacemaker and is now doing fine...no brain damage either! It puts a lot of things in perspective. If you have goals and dreams that you want to acheive in this life...you better start now...there is no time like the present.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Hello, We just got back from Thanksgiving. We spent some time in Northern Kentucky with Dad and the rest of the Family and then went to Louisville for a day to spend time with Hunter's family. It was such a great time. I can definitely tell you that having such a loving family was something that I am thankful for every day.
See the pics attached of all the fun.

What Fun!

Hello,
I have finally updated this blog with some recent pictures. The ones I have attached are from many events. Some are from me and Beth's birthday weekend. Then more pictures are from the 2nd Annual Morris Halloween Party, and lastly, I have some pictures of a weekend spent down at the coast. This was a wonderful weekend spent with good friends crabbing, fishing (Hunter caught quite a few!), riding around, and of course eating tons of food. Anyway, I wanted to share these pictures with everyone.
Love,
Sara

Quilting

So I have taken up a new hobby that is quilting. I am really excited about it and have gotten as far as cutting the squares. A wonderful friend of mine has lent me her sewing machine so I am excited to see if I can actually make it all come together! We will see. I will add a picture of it when I am done.

Just saying no to Face Book

Hello,
I know that everyone would prefer that I join face book or some forum like that to communicate. Sorry, I just have to say no! I think I will leave Hunter in charge of Face Book because he is much better at checking e-mail ect. I am terrible at e-mail as most people quickly ... or not so quickly find out, so I decided to do a blog. This is really selfish of me because I can just add things at my leisure and people can check in on the Morris Family as they would like. The other reason I decided to start this blog is because as we grow our family (no babies yet!) I want to have a place where our family & friends can go to check in on us since we are all spread out across the country.
I have to give credit to my friend Lesley Griffeth because her blog is so wonderful that it inspired me.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. It will be a nice place for me to journal too, which I am excited about since I haven't journaled in so long.
Love you all,
Sara
